Amy started her dance career at the age of 13, and began to teach Salsa/Mambo at the age of 14. Her teaching style is based in technique, fluidity of movement, and self expression. Since then, Amy Tuarez is known internationally for her elegant, fiery and passionate presence on-stage, and the social dance floor. |

Amy has worked with Theatre Arts/ Cabaret Champion Dave Paris showcasing her flexibility, acrobatic skill, and interpretive style. Her training spans even to traditional African, and Folkloric dance. Amy is well versed in The traditional Ecuadorian Dance “El Pasillo,” dancing with “La Trinchera” in Manta. Learning African dance from renowned dancer and percussionist Djoniba, and blending it with the Afro-Cuban style learned from Pupy, her fire and strength are truly original. |

Amy’s recent partnership with Scandinavian based dancer Jazzy Ruiz has claimed her the title of, “International Lady of Salsa.” She has instructed and performed in international venues like The National House of Vinohardy of Prague, established 1894, and the Teatra Observatorija of Lativia. |

Amy’s styles of dance include American standard, International Latin, Swing, Lindy-hop, Tango, Hustle, Pachanga, Bugaloo, Street style Cha-Cha, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa/Mambo On1, and NY style On2, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Theatre Arts/ Cabaret, South American Folklore, and West African. This dancer’s versatility, virtuosity and dynamic presence make her highly demanded instructor and performer. |

Amy and her Dance company have broadcasted live from NYC on number 1 Latin radio station “La Mega 97.9” with radio personality J.I Starr. National accolades include Salsa Congresses in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and Atlanta. International accomplishments span from Norway, Sweden, Russia, Estonia, Morocco, North West Africa, Spain, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, New Zealand, Lithuania, and Romania.
